Edgar LeBlanc, 97, of Shediac and formerly of
Grand-Barachois, passed away on Saturday January 6, 2024 at the Villa
Providence, Shediac. Born in Grand-Barachois, he was the son of the
late Alderic and Delhia (Boudreau)
LeBlanc.
He was an exceptional husband, father and
grandfather. He loved being around his family. Edgar will be
remembered as a man who loved working with wood. He worked as a
carpenter most of his life.
He is survived by one daughter, Marguerite Cormier
(Roger) de Grand-Barachois; three sons: Regis (Ann) of Shediac, Eugene
(Margarite-Anne) and Morel (Patsy) all of Grand-Barachois; four
grandchildren: Theresa, Maureen, Bonnie, and Mathieu; 14
great-grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Delhia
Parker of Maine; one sister in-law, Gilberte LeBlanc of Saint-John, as
well as his nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his loving wife, Rina; one
brother, Arsene; father’s second wife, Edmée; two
sisters: Clemence LeBlanc and Rita LeBlanc; one granddaughter, Sylvie;
one great-grandson, Jessie.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette
Funeral and Cremation Centre, 396 Main Street, Shediac (506-532-3297)
on Tuesday January 30 from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm
only. The funeral service will be
celebrated at St-Henri de Barachois R.C. Church, 1356 route 133,
Grand-Barachois on Wednesday January 31 at 2 pm. Interment will be in
the St-Henri de Barachois cemetery,
Grand-Barachois.
