It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing
of Anita LeBlanc, 94, of Shédiac, at her residence on
Thursday February 29, 2024. Born in Shédiac, she was the
daughter of the late David and Marie-Louise (Richard)
Bourque.
Anita was a loving, generous, warm and very welcoming wife,
mother and grandmother. She had many hobbies including knitting,
skating, golfing and bowling. She was also a member and volunteer of
several organizations in her community, including the athletic club,
festival, carnival, and Institut féminin.
She is survived by her children: Jean-Guy (Antoinette), Paul
(Hélène) and Louise (Peter); her grandchildren:
Chantal (Terry), Rémi, Caroline (Derek), Josée
(Jérémie), Joshua (Sarah) and Emilie (Eric); her
great-grandchildren: Dominic, Zacharie, Malex, Zali, Miralie,
Rosélie, and Alexis; her sisters: Aline Blackmore and
Cécile (late Jacques Picard); her brother, Réal
(Anne); as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Odule; her son, Marcel
(Lucille Maillet); one sister, Florence; three brothers: Roger,
Eugène and Léo.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral
Centre, 396 Main Street, Shediac (506-532-3297) on Thursday March 7
from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm only. The funeral mass will be celebrated at
St-Joseph church, 415 Main Street, Shediac on Friday March 8 at 11 am.
Interment will be in parish cemetery. In memory of Anita, a
contribution to the vestiaire St-Joseph, the St-Joseph cemetery or the
Beausejour Family Crisis Resource Centre would be
appreciated.
Cremation and funeral arrangements
are under the direction of Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre,
Shediac (506-532-3297).
