Shirley Quinlan
1939-2024
Shirley Emma Quinlan, 84 of Salisbury West passed
away Thursday, February 29, 2024 at the Moncton
Hospital.
Born in Urney, she was a daughter of the late
Irene Law-Colpitts. Shirley was a retired store clerk at The Right
Stop and was a member of the former River Glade Baptist Church. She
was also a member and Grand Officer of the former Pythian Sisters.
Shirley enjoyed going on country drives and loved family
gatherings.
She is survived and sadly missed by her children
Gordon Geldart (Joyce), Alberta, Linda Krieg (Jeff), Saskatchewan,
Terry Geldart (Alison), Riverview, Ann Marie Taylor (Paul), Salisbury,
Peggy Reeder, Moncton and Christina Taylor, Salisbury; step-sister
Muriel Carpenter (Jimmy); several grandchildren, great grandchildren
and nieces and nephews. Besides her mother, Shirley was predeceased by
her husband Charles Quinlan; sister Jean Steeves (Roy); step-brothers
Wayne and Cedric Colpitts and in-laws Leslie and Betty
Quinlan.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of
Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Route 106 (506-372-4800) with visiting
Tuesday, March 5 from 6 pm – 8 pm. The service will be held in the
chapel Wednesday, March 6 at 11 am with Pastors Angela Parsons and
Albert Clark officiating. Interment at Pine Hill Cemetery at a later
date.
If desired, donations in memory of Shirley to a
charity of choice would be appreciated by the family.
