Marjorie Collier
1930-2024
Marjorie Martha Collier, 93 of the Jordan LifeCare
Centre and formerly of Steeves Mountain passed away Monday, March 18,
2024.
Born in Edgetts Landing, Marjorie was a daughter
of the late Clifford and Velma (Simpson) Steeves. In her early working
years, she worked at the T. Eaton Company. Marjorie and her late
husband Neil operated the Holiday Motel & Restaurant and
Texaco in Steeves Mountain. She was a member of the Steeves Mountain
Baptist Church and recently the Surrey Valley Baptist
Church.
Marjorie is survived and sadly missed by her
daughter Cindy Atkinson (Brian); son Gary Collier; grandchildren
Joshua (Samantha) and his children Christian, Bentley and Mekhi; Aaron
(Erin) and his son Gage; sisters Lorna Ward (late Bill), Calva Steeves
(Jerome), Doreen Allan (late Sherman) and Carol Steeves (Willis);
brothers Gary Steeves (Heather) and Charlie Steeves (Donna) and
several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents Marjorie was
predeceased by her husband Neil H. Collier; sisters Jennifer Steeves
and Joan Pollock and brothers Len (Mavis) and Lynn.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of
Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Route 106 (506-372-4800) with visiting
Friday, March 22 from noon until time of service at 1 pm in the chapel
with Rev. Dr. Rick Thomas and Rev. Wayne Johnson
officiating.
If desired, donations in memory of Marjorie to the
Surrey Valley Baptist Church or Hillside Cemetery would be appreciated
by the family.
