Leslie (Les) MacDonald
1937-2023
Leslie (Les) MacDonald, 86, a lifelong resident of
Salisbury passed away Sunday December 17, 2023 at the Moncton Hospital
following a lengthy illness.
Born in Saint John he was sent to live in the Aunt
Mary Crisp home in Salisbury and soon after was adopted by Rainsford
and Florence (Wood) MacDonald.
Survived by his beloved wife of 53 years Joyce
(Douthwright), his sons Dave (Shelley) and Jason (Chontell), cherished
grandchildren Morgan, Chad and Zachary, sisters Edith White (Jim) and
Grace Kitchen (Late Harold) and by nieces and nephews. Predeceased by
his parents, sister Jean MacDonald and special Aunt Jessie
Steeves.
Les was employed as a Carman with CNR retiring in
1992. Les enjoyed the outdoors, snowmobiling, hunting and fishing long
days on the lakes with Billy. He valued his time with his coffee
buddies and looked forward to those who visited him at home and in
hospital during his illness.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of
Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Route 106, (506-372-4800). Family will
receive relatives and friends at the funeral home on Thursday,
December 21 from 6 pm to 8 pm to share memories of Les.
A graveside interment service for Les will be held
at a later date at Pine Hill Cemetery.

appreciated by the family.
