James Crossman, Sr.
1940-2024
James Stewart Crossman, Sr., 83 of Harewood passed
away Sunday, March 17, 2024 at the Moncton Hospital.
Born in Canaan Forks, he was a son of the late
Percy and Bertha (Corey) Crossman. James was a retired
driver for Cement Cartage. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and meeting
with his friends for coffee at the Ridge Restaurant.
He is survived and sadly missed by his daughters,
Jan Gautreau (Mark) and Norma Crossman; sons, Clint Murray (Angie) and
James Crossman, Jr. (Jessica); his six grandchildren Kayla, Matthew,
Meagan, Carly, Matt and Dylan as well as his nine great grandchildren;
brother, Francis Crossman (Marg); sister, Faye Sleep (Allan) and
several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his wife, Joan; brother,
Fred and sisters, Ann McKenzie, Emma Wilt and Ella
Hoar.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of
Salisbury Funeral Home (506-372-4800). A funeral service will be held
Saturday, March 23, 11 a.m. at the New Canaan Baptist Church with
Pastor Dave McPherson officiating. Interment at New Canaan Cemetery at
a later date.
There will be a gathering at James Jr.’s, 4516
Route 880, Havelock, following the service.
If desired, donations in memory of James to a
charity of choice would be appreciated by the family.
