DOUCETTE, Nancy Louise
It is with appreciation of a life well-lived and gratitude for many years of memories, that the family of Nancy Louise Doucette, devoted wife of 58 years to the late Wayne ‘Tootie’ Doucette, announce her passing which occurred on October 21, 2023, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John, New Brunswick on January 1, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Holly Louise (Sampson).
Nancy shared a passion for music and was a proud original member of the Ladies Choral Group which started 38 years ago. She cherished her time spent with her children, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Throughout her 58 years of marriage, Nancy created many memories with Tootie and was so fortunate to have travelled the world with him.
Nancy is survived by her 3 loving sons: Wayne (Paula), Shawn (Elaine) and Brent (Gail) Doucette along with her brother in-law David Blaney, sister in-law Bernadette Emerson (Richard), special cousin Linda Hurst, her 5 cherished grandchildren: Andrew, Sara, Hannah, Matthew, and Abigail along with her 3 great grandchildren.
Nancy is also survived by many cousins and special nieces: Jennifer and Samantha along with nephews: Ryan and Randy, many great nieces and nephews along with special friend Dale Campbell.
In addition to her husband Tootie and mother Holly, Nancy is predeceased by her sister Gail Blaney.
Our family wishes to extend a special heartfelt thank you to the entire team at the Saint John Regional Hospital Emergency Department, Palliative Care Unit and especially Dr. Linda Stephenson for your outstanding care and compassion.
Nancy will be resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (506-646-2424), where a private visitation will take place followed by a committal service at Fernhill Cemetery for close family and friends.
