Obituary of Marion Elizabeth Sherwood
Miss Marion E. Sherwood, formerly of Lakeview Drive, most recently of Shannex Parkland in Millidge Avenue, passed peacefully on April 27, 2024, in her 97th year. Born on July 20, 1927, in Barnesville, NB, to the late Clarence P. Sherwood and Hazel E. Sherwood, both of 3rd Lake Upper Loch Lomond, Barnesville N.B.
Marion is survived by sister Thelma McKim; nephews Estey McKim of Saint John and Rev. Mark McKim of St. Mary’s, Ontario. She was predeceased by her parents and brother-in-law Gordon McKim.
Marion was a graduate of Saint John High School and University of New Brunswick Saint John with her B.A. She was a lifelong member of Girl Guides of Canada and Silver Falls United Church. She was employed as a Medical Laboratory Technologist for 43 years for the Saint John Regional Hospital and the Saint John General Hospital.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (506-634-7424). Visitation will be held in Brenan’s on May 13, 2024, from 2:00 – 4:00 PM. A private family committal will take place at a later date.
Donations in memory of Marion may be made out to a charity of the donor’s choice. Online condolences may be shared at www.brenansfh.com.
