Jason Richard Obituary
It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Jason Joseph Richard, which occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Sunday, May 12th, 2024. Born on July 22nd, 1978, in Saint John, he is the son of Kathryn (Lamont) Richard and the late Joseph F. Richard. Jason graduated from Simonds High School in 1996. He continued his education at UNB Saint John and graduated in 2001 with a degree in Data Analysis with Majors in Mathematics and Computer Science. Jason enjoyed golfing, skiing, fishing and bonfires on Douglas lake and he will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Along with his mother Kathy, Jason is survived by his children Sophia and Avery and their mother Angela Burbridge; sister Kalyn Breen (Kyle) and their children Kyson and Kelton; aunts and uncles Carol Cooper (Kenny), Diane Buchanan (George), Wayne Richard (Sharon), John Richard (Lisa), Patti Kelly (Neil Morrison), Rick Connell, Lynn McGinnis (Mike), special godmother Janet Lamont, Geordie Lamont (Ann Redfurn) and numerous cousins.
Along with his father, Jason was predeceased by his grandparents George and Frances Lamont, Joseph Richard Sr. and aunt Mary Connell.
Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (506-646-2424). A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Joseph’s Church (4347 Loch Lomond Road) on Thursday, May 16th at 11 a.m.
Donations in memory of Jason may be made to Addiction & Mental Health Services or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
