Irvine Greer Obituary
It is with heavy hearts the family of Irvine Edward Greer announce his passing on Sunday, February 11, 2024 at the age of 89. His loss will be deeply felt by his children Irvine Edward Jr., Scott Andrew (Lori), Catherine Ann (Geoff) Rankin, Wendi Louise Hopey and Sherry Lynn (Geoff) Weston; his grandchildren Garrett, Scott, Samantha, William, Charlotte, Laura, Cameron, Carter and Charlie and his great-grandchildren Ava and Fallon. He will also be dearly missed by his siblings James “Jim” (Rebecca) Greer, Sterling (Debbie) Greer, Sam (Gloria) Greer, Teena Vey, Beulah Armstrong, Alvena (Earl) Dunhill and Gerry (Norman) Ferris. Irvine is predeceased by his first wife Barbara Ann Greer of over 54 years and his second wife Margaret Walker Greer of over 10 years, his parents Anne and William Greer, an infant brother Charles, 2 nieces and several brother and sister in laws. He will also be greatly missed by many other family members and friends. Irvine was a fan of Baseball and a huge fan of the Toronto Blue Jays, even when they weren’t winning. He loved playing cards and stock car racing. He even built a race track, called the Airport Raceway with the help of his brothers. He will be missed by all who knew him. Arrangements have been entrusted to Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John, NB (506-646-2424). Family and friends will be received at the funeral home on Thursday February 15, from 2-8 PM. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, February 16, 2024 in the chapel at 11:00 AM. Interment at a later date. Donations to the Diabetes Association or Bobby’s Hospice would be greatly appreciated.
