Dorothy Emery Obituary
It is with great sadness that the family of Dorothy Jean Emery wish to announce her unexpected passing which occurred on February 28, 2024, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John, on July 7, 1954, to the late Patrick Moore and the late Elsie MacDonald.
Dorothy was a very outgoing person who enjoyed long drives, the outdoors, walks on the beach, and bonfires. She loved to dance and laugh with her friends. She was an active member of her church.
Surviving are her children; Robbie Emery (Shelly) and Jolene Hubley (Keith), her brothers; Dougie MacDonald (Marie) and Donnie Moore, her sister, Teresa Hartley (Richard), her granddaughter, Jenna Saturnino (Nate), her step-granddaughter, Tasha Scheepbouwer (Aaron), her step-grandson, Tyler Murray. Her special daughter, Shelley Cook (Brandon and Anthony), along with her circle of friends Anne, Bernice, Lisa, Velma, Terry, and several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Besides her parents she was predeceased by her sister Anne Moore and her step-granddaughter Lindsay Murray.
The arrangements have been entrusted to Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (506) 646-2424. Following cremation, a celebration of life will take place at Mission Point Church from 4:00pm-6:00pm on Saturday, March 16th, 2024.
Remembrances made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, or a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated.
