MARTELL, Donna Marie
Our family is saddened to announce the passing of Donna Marie (Falt) Martell, a loving and devoted wife of 55 years to Joseph V. Martell, who passed away at Bobby’s Hospice on Wednesday, September 4th, 2024. Donna was born in Antigonish, Nova Scotia, and was the daughter of the late Mansfield and Mary (Michaud) Falt.
In addition to her husband Joe, Donna is survived by her beloved children: Christine (Druce), Daniel Martell, and Jean-Paul ‘JP’ (Carla) Martell, as well as her four grandchildren: Kelsi, Josh, Hayden, and Reese. She is also survived by her sister Barbara MacNeil (Douglas) and her two stepsisters, Anne Baxter (George) and Geraldine Whitehead (Matt).
A devoted Catholic, Donna was an active member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church and a proud member of the Beta Sigma Phi (BSP) sorority. Joe and Donna were not only partners in life but also in business, having co-owned Sears Appliance Centre in Hampton, New Brunswick, for many years. They enjoyed traveling throughout the Atlantic Provinces, but at the core of Donna’s heart was her family. She took great pride in being a mother and an even prouder grandmother, always willing to do anything for her children and grandchildren.
In keeping with her wishes, cremation will be taking place and a formal funeral service will be held on a date to be announced.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Bobby’s Hospice would be greatly appreciated.
