Dixie Cook Obituary
It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Dixie Elaine (Casey) Cook, which occurred on Wednesday, November 22nd, 2023, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born 1957, in Fredericton, NB, she is the daughter of Evelyn Casey and the late Roger Casey. Dixie worked as a Supervisor at Wyndham Saint John for many years. She loved gardening, Nascar and football. She also enjoyed cooking, doing crafts and shopping. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Dixie is survived by her loving and devoted husband Paul of 51 years; son Bradley Cook of Halifax; daughter Melissa Cook (Kevin) of Willow Grove; brother Roger Casey of St. Stephen; sisters Diane Jackson (Mark) of Alberta, Sanda MacLean (Stacy) of Fredericton; granddaughter Brittany Cook (Cody) of Saint John; and best canine companion Gizmo; as well as several nieces, nephews and friends.
Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (506-646-2424). As per Dixie’ s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. A private family interment will take place at a later date. Donations in memory of Dixie may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
