Bernice Guimond Obituary
The family of Bernice Guimond wish to announce her passing which occurred on March 29, 2024, at her residence, the Loch Lomond Villa. Bernice celebrated her 77th birthday on Friday, March 29th. She was born in Saint John, the daughter of the late Edward and Doris (Babin) Guimond.
Facing the progressive nature of her Parkinson Disease, it was her choice to use MAID (Medical Assistance in Dying). Bernice left us for her final resting place with her God. She had a peaceful death and died with love and forgiveness in her heart. Bernice was in many ways an “Influencer”. She loved her family and friends and cared about their successes. She always did what she could…offering encouragement & support in times of need. She was funny and witty with a dry sense of humour. Drama followed her everywhere she went… sometimes she created it.
She is survived by her brother, Norman Guimond, sisters; Jeannine Richard, Valdine Tuckwell (Neil), Michelle Guimond, and Suzanne Guimond, sister-in-law Rose Thibodeau, her nieces, and nephews: Greg, Colleen, Nicole, Lisa, Paul, Stephanie, Christopher, Stephen and Alex, and her special friends, Carol, Shirley and Theshaw.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brother Roger Guimond, sister, Denise Guimond, and her dear cat Chloe.
The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of the Loch Lomond Villa for tending to Bernice and her many needs.
Arrangements are under the care of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (506-646-2424). At her request, there will not be visitation or a funeral service. Remembrances can be made to the Canadian Mental Health Association or any charity of the donor’s choice.
