Barry Jones Obituary
It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Barry William Jones which occurred on December 26, 2024, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. He was born in Saint John on June 20, 1955, to the late Theodore and Marjorie (Stephenson) Jones.
Barry leaves behind his partner, Barb Walsh of 42 years; his son, Barry William Kellar and granddaughter, Kenadie Kellar. He also leaves behind one sister, Mary Kim (Mike) McCluskey. Barry leaves behind many nieces and nephews and cousins. Barry was predeceased by his parents, and his siblings, Carol, Faith, Nick, Gary and Jimmy.
Barry was a sprinkler fitter by trade and worked with many different companies located in Saint John, British Columbia, Alberta, as well as Iqaluit, Nunavut. He was a history buff. Barry enjoyed travelling and learning of other cultures. His family was very important to him. He was a hard worker and a good provider. He enjoyed his home and just being outdoors, as well as fishing and going for a hunt. He will be deeply missed.
Arrangements are entrusted to Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (506-646-2424). In keeping with Barry’s wishes, no visitation will be held. Interment will take place in the Spring of 2025 at St. Paul’s Upper Golden Grove Cemetery. Please check his obituary in early April to see of any dates and times arranged. For those who wish, donations in his memory to the charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by his family.
