It is with great sadness that we announce the
passing of L. Beryl Wheeler at Moncton
City Hospital on May 26, 2024.
Born October 28, 1925 in Bosman, Manitoba, Beryl was
the daughter of Leonard and Sarah (Lewis) Faulkner from Nova
Scotia.
She was a loving wife and wonderful mother teaching
us how to get along and to be kind to one another. Eventually the nest
emptied and she decided to join the workforce herself. She
was employed at J. E. Weldon, Canadian Wildlife Service and Atlantic
Wholesalers. She met and made many good friends through all those
years.
Beryl’s hobbies included knitting, crocheting,
quilting, ceramics and tole painting. Besides being a good athlete in
her younger days, she enjoyed trying new sports like cross country
skiing and curling that encouraged her to join the Sackville Curling
Club.
Mum loved the outdoors and she and Dad spent many
summers enjoying the cottage at Upper Cape, NB.
Beryl will be dearly missed by her children, Duane
(Marg) Wheeler, Kitchener, ON; Sally Smith, Sackville, NB; Cheryl
(late Rick) Anderson, Saskatoon, SK; Donna Johnson, Sackville, NB;
Mary Jo (MJ) Wheeler, Vancouver, BC; Trish Desjardins, Sackville, NB;
Daniel (Dale) Wheeler, Belleville, ON; her daughter-in-law Sandra
Wheeler, Dartmouth, NS; as well as 16 grandchildren, 27 great
grandchildren; and 8 great-great grandchildren.
Beryl was the last surviving member of her immediate
family. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by
her husband, William (Bill) Wheeler in 2012; her son, Ronald Wheeler
in 2024; by her brothers Lewis, Pursel, Cameron, LeRoy, and sisters
Ruby Lane, and Mary Priest; a great granddaughter Tessa Wheeler, and a
great-great granddaughter Arianna Sangha.
Arrangements are under the care and guidance
of Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge
Street, Sackville (506-364-1300). As per Beryl’s wishes,
cremation has taken place. Visiting hours will be held from
Noon until 2 pm on Wednesday, September 18, 2024, followed immediately
by her funeral service at 2 pm. Burial will follow in the
Sackville Cemetery.

received during her time there. We would also like to express our
gratitude to the compassionate nursing staff of both the medical and
