It is with great sadness that we announce the
passing of Karen Darlene Morris, 66, at
the Moncton City Hospital on Wednesday, February 21, 2024.
Karen was born in Sackville, NB, a daughter of the late
Frank and Doris (Hopkins) Estabrooks.
Karen adored baking, cooking and gifting pies to her
friends. She was
a fan of country music and the bagpipes. In addition, Karen loved
Christmas and family gatherings, and was a loving and devoted mother
and grandmother who enjoyed a good long chat on the phone.
She will be dearly missed by her special friend,
Danny Allen, Sackville; her children, Amanda Murphy, Miramichi,
Frankie (Tracy Amos) Morris, Riverview, and Jason (Josie Legere)
Morris, Midgic; five grandchildren, Kenny, Anthony, Emilie, Brady, and Jenna; her siblings,
Diane (Wayne) Dupuis, Marilyn Thomas, Beverly (Gary Beale) Estabrooks,
and Kevin (Ruth) Estabrooks, as well as several nieces and
nephews.
Besides her parents, Karen was predeceased by her
brothers, Stewart Estabrooks and Malcolm Estabrooks; a sister Donna
McNeill, and a brother-in-law, Ron Thomas.
Arrangements are under the care and
guidance of Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge
Street, Sackville, NB (506-364-1300).
Cremation has taken place. A
time of gathering and visitation will be held at the funeral home on
Wednesday, June 28, 2024 from 1-3pm with a graveside service to follow
at the Sackville Cemetery.
For those who wish to do so, donations in Karen’s
memory may be given to the funeral home to assist the family with
expenses.
