Anthony “Tony”
Pauley, born on December 5, 1939, passed away
peacefully surrounded by his loving family on May 26, 2024 at Westford
Nursing Home in Port Elgin. Born in Murray Corner, NB, Anthony moved
to Lakeville, NB prior to retiring to Little Shemogue.
Known for his warm heart and generous spirit,
Anthony cherished every moment spent working outdoors, where he found
solace and joy. He had a deep love for nature and often shared his
passion with friends and family, creating lasting memories and strong
bonds.
Anthony was a master craftsman, renowned for his
exceptional skills in jewelry making & repair, having worked
with Eaton’s in Moncton for many years prior to he and his wife
starting their own jewelry repair business. His meticulous attention
to detail and artistic flair resulted in stunning pieces that were
treasured by many. His work not only showcased his talent but also his
dedication and love for the craft.
Anthony was predeceased by his loving wife Emily
(Golding), his parents Isabella (Agnew) and Herman Pauley, and his
brother-in-law Stanley Lake. Anthony will be sadly missed by his
sister Karen Lake, his 3 nephews Jason Lake (Holly Lake), Scott Lake
(Jen Lake) & Bruce Lake (Dana Fidgen), & 3 nieces
Cathy Golding (Gilles Gagne) Debra Golding (Richard Otte), Sandra
Golding, as well as several nieces, nephews, extended family and loved
ones.
A
beloved friend and family man, Anthony’s kindness, wisdom, and sense
of humor touched the lives of everyone he met. Anthony will be fondly
remembered for having special twinkle in his eye and a smile that
could warm a cold winter’s day. He will be sadly missed by all
who knew him.
Arrangements are under the care and supervision of
Jones Funeral Homes, Sackville and Port
Elgin, NB. A
funeral service will be held from the Port Elgin Chapel, 3 W. Main
Street, Port Elgin (506-364-1300) on Thursday, May 30, 2024 at 2 pm
with interment to follow in the Fernwood Cemetery with a reception at
the funeral home after that.
Donations in memory of Anthony may be made to the
First United Church, Murray Corner, or a charity of the donor’s
choice.
