Vivianne passed away peacefully at Moncton Hospital on
December 17, 2024, following a brief terminal illness. Born in
Pointe-Brûlée, NB, Vivianne was the daughter of
Emery and Eliza Robichaud (née Plantain), both
deceased.
Vivianne’s life was
marked by resilience and joie de vivre, traits she carried through her
many travels and adventures with her second husband, Fred Hare.
Together, they lived and worked across the globe, from the Middle East
to the Caribbean. As part of the nascent wave of women working outside
the home, Vivianne worked as a clerk for L’Assomption and
the Postal Service, then was executive secretary at the
beginning of the Atlantic Lottery.
She is survived by her sisters, Lauza and Martine; her
children by her first husband, Lane Harper: Russell (Dana) and Theresa
(Peter); her grandchildren, Edgar, Laura, Tristan and
Justin and her stepchildren, Fern, Scott, Dawn, Daniel,
Natalie, and Lindsay, who along with nephew Raphaël and
friend Cathy Egan, were especially present during Vivianne’s
final days. She was predeceased by her siblings, Fabiola and
Jean.
Vivianne requested no formal service. In her
memory, a gathering will be held at her home in June for family and
friends to reflect and share stories of her
life.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Friends
of the Moncton Hospital. Arrangements are entrusted to
Cobb’s Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Rd.
