Sylvia Keeping of Moncton passed away on December 24th at the
age of 90 at Gordon Hall in Moncton, NB.
Born in Newfoundland, she was the daughter of the late
Augustus Monroe and Mary Ellen Carew. She will be remembered
and dearly missed by her beloved daughter Sandra, son-in-law Alan, and
grandson Noah Batten, with whom she resided for 20 years. Also left to
mourn with fond memories are her grandson Aaron Janes and son-in-law
Terry Janes of Grand Falls-Windsor NL, sister-in-law Shirley Burgess,
and her many nieces and nephews. Aside from her
parents, she was predeceased by her husband Clarence, her daughter
Linda Janes (2016) and her brothers: Bernard and Frank
Carew.
In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place and
interment will take place at a later date in Newfoundland.
Arrangements are entrusted to Cobb’s Funeral Home and
Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Rd, Riverview
(869-2007).
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to
the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer
Society.
