It is with great sadness that the family of Lois Steeves
announces her unexpected passing on December 22, 2023 at The
Moncton Hospital. Born in Moncton, she was the daughter of the late
Calvin and Jean Barkhouse.
Lois is survived by her cherished son Marshall,
daughter-in-law Deborah, her grandchildren Madison (Dave), Cara
(Dana), and Sarah (Matt), great-grandsons Elias, Oscar, and Brandon,
and great-granddaughter Emily, brother Don and his family,
and also her well-loved, furry granddaughter
Shelby.
Lois will be remembered as a woman who was dedicated to her
family – a loving mother and grandmother and great grandmother. Lois
loved life, she was an avid reader, loved to dance and laugh, and she
was an amazing cook who rarely needed a recipe… She loved
fashion and could be counted on to be well-dressed for any occasion.
At the young age of 81 Lois decided she wanted to get an
Apple iPad and learn how to keep in touch with those who were close to
her but also she found on-line shopping so much fun.
We were not ready to say goodbye to her in this life but the
unexpected happened. She will be missed so very much. Your legacy will
carry on Lois…until we meet again!
Lois was predeceased by her husband Sheldon, her son Kevin,
and sister Judy.
Her family will receive friends and relatives at
Cobb’s Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Rd,
Riverview (869-2007) on Saturday, January 6th
from 2-4pm. Everyone is welcome. Donations may be
made to the Albert House Hospice SENB.
Many thanks to the caring doctors and nurses at the Moncton
City Hospital Emergency Department who cared for Lois.
