Peacefully, with
family by her side, Cindy left this earthly world June 19th, 2024.
Cindy was the daughter of the late Audrey (nee Forbes) and Roderick
Hyslop.
Cindy leaves behind to
share their memories of her time with us, her husband of 23 years
D’Arcy Quinlan. Knowing this journey would be
difficult they travelled the road together determined to make a
difference in each other’s lives.
D’Arcy’s determination to help in
Cindy’s search for peace and comfort never wavered.
She also leaves behind her children, Lori Coull (Joshua
LeBlanc); Kelly Coull (Marc Lacenaire) and her son Matthew
Coull. Cindy is also survived by her treasured
grandchildren of whom she is so proud, Luca Lacenaire and Ava
Lacenaire and Leah Coull. They were the light of her life, and she was
always so excited to share pictures and videos of them with friends
and co-workers.
Cindy also leaves
behind her sister Debbie Hyslop and although often separated by
distance their connection was never lost. She was always
extremely proud of Debbie’s accomplishments in
life. She also leaves behind her nephew Calvin Hyslop (Viki
Chaisson) and their children Lexi Hyslop, Max Hyslop and Shay
Hyslop.
Cindy is also survived
by several aunts, uncles, cousins as well as the most amazing friends
and co-workers on whom she relied heavily during her lengthy
illness.
Also included in
Cindy’s “Bestie Universe” is Cheryl Doiron
Kervin. Having met in December 1994 they remained best
friends for 29 years with Cheryl never leaving Cindy’s side
during her lengthy illness.
Many thanks and love
to Lise Melanson; Michelle Anderson; Shannon Pettipas and so many
more.
Cindy was heavily
involved in Track and Field in her younger years, particularly in
Sprinting both indoor and outdoor short track races and later in
coaching young girls alongside her father for the Riverview Kinsmen
Track and Field Association. Cindy also enjoyed helping her
father build things and they shared this hobby well into later
life. She also enjoyed baking and cooking and
learning these skills from her mother.
Cindy’s
working life consisted of retail work in the building supply industry
with both Lockhart’s Building Supply and Kent
Homes. After having her 3rd child, Cindy
decided to stay at home and opened an In-Home Community Day
Care. During the next 20 years she cared for 82
tiny humans prior to them attending school. She
took pleasure and peace in helping the little ones prepare for life in
the bigger world. After closing the Day Care in 2013, Cindy
worked in Long Term Care with end-of-life dementia
residents. This too was very fulfilling and
rewarding. A personal Thank you to Paulette &
Christopher Wallace is definitely in order, so thank
you! The last working chapter for Cindy was with
Coverdale Infusion Clinic. This chapter of her
career brought Cindy so much satisfaction as she was able to assist
new patients with various health concerns, navigate the road to better
health.
Cindy was very happy
with a quiet life, her family was her excitement and when they were
happy, well fed and cared for she was happy as well.
A special thank you to
the staff at the Moncton City Hospital unit 4200 and the Palliative
Care Unit. Dr McNally, Dr Mansfield and Carrie
CRN…your kindness and caring for Cindy will never be
forgotten.
A gathering to share
memories will be held at Cobb’s Funeral Home 330 Whitepine
Rd. Riverview (869-2007) from 1:00pm to 3:00pm on Sunday June
23rd, 2024.
Donations may be made
