Brenda Robinson passed away peacefully after a brief illness
at The Moncton Hospital on December 4, 2024.
Originally from Moncton, she was the daughter of Myrtle R.
Buxton (Tingley) and Herbert Robinson.
Brenda was a second generation Registered Nurse who graduated
from Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Montreal in 1967. She spent her
career working at the Moncton Hospital starting in the Emergency room,
worked most of the years in the Med/Surg ICU and finished her career
in the GI Unit. After her retirement in 2006, Brenda loved to
volunteer at the hospital gift shop, Curly Corner and at the Hospice
Shoppe. The hospital was like her second home!
Brenda loved to attend her Nursing class reunions to catch up
with her classmates and trade stories of the crazy things nurses see
and do. It was rare that she missed one. She recently attended her
57th one in Ottawa and had the best time with the girls who were like
sisters to her.
Brenda was a member of The Moncton Hospital Nurses Auxiliary,
a charter member of the Riverview Kinettes, spent many years
volunteering for Riverview Track and Field and was a sister in Beta
Sign Phi. She spent many years singing with the Codiac Chords, the
Metrotones and in the church choir at St. Paul’s United
church in Riverview. She loved music of all kinds especially Rock and
Roll!
She loved to travel especially on bus tours usually with a
good friend in tow so they could enjoy the adventure together. Her
favorite trip was her Alaska trip and getting to ride on a dog sled.
She loved to share stories of her many adventures!
Brenda will be dearly missed by her son, Chris Viberg
(Julie); her daughter, Jennifer Ayers (Kyle); Kim Meikle (Shawn) who
was like her second daughter; her sisters Barbara Gardiner (Charles);
and Elizabeth Bourque (Ron); her stepsister, Arline Cormier; the
grandchildren she loving adored, Katie, Jake, Josh , Luke and step
granddaughter, Abby. As well as her niece, Tracy Gardiner; and
nephews; Brian and Eric Bourque, Todd Gardiner and Ashley Viberg.
Aside from her parents she was predeceased by her stepfather, Walter
Buxton.
There will be a visitation Friday, December 13th from 6-8 pm
at Cobb’s Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine

Saturday, December 14th at 2pm at Cobb’s Funeral Home and
