It is with great
sadness that the family of Blake Cox announce the sudden passing of
our son and brother which occurred at his home in Cocagne due to
medical difficulties. Born in Halifax on December 27, 1956 he was the
son of Philip and Agnes (Morrison) Cox. Blake moved to
Riverview when he was two years old. Besides his parents, he is
survived by a brother Robb (Toronto); several aunts and uncles and
many cousins.
Blake was very devoted to his work as a Civil Engineer
Technician with companies throughout the Maritime Region. He
loved and participated in many sports, his favourites being hockey and
golf. He also volunteered as a Referee in Minor sports and officiated
in Provincial and Junior Hockey.
His volunteer work also involved many years of service with
the Riverview Fire Department as a firefighter and he enjoyed it
immensely. He thanked them for a great learning
experience.
There will be no visitation or funeral service. Graveside
service and burial will be in Cape Breton at a later
date. Arrangements are entrusted to
Cobb’s Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Rd,
Riverview (506-869-2007). Donations in his memory may be
made to a charity of donor’s choice. Online condolences may
