1936-2023
ELSIPOGTOG, NB – Elizabeth Levi 87, of Elsipogtog
passed away peacefully at the Stella Maris Hospital in
Ste-Anne-de-Kent on Friday, December 8, 2023. Born in Sus she was
the daughter of the late Margaret Thebeau.
Elizabeth was a devoted foster mom that fostered 57 children
over the years. She will be missed by all who knew her for her
strength and compassion.
Elizabeth will be sadly missed by her seven daughters, Carol
Ann Levi, Gladys Marie Levi (late Roy), Valerie Levy
(André) all of Elsipogtog, Natalie Barlow (Chief Ken
Barlow) of Indian Island, Rosie Peters (late Jerry), Vicky Levi,
Jocelyn Levi (Jeremy) all of Elsipogtog; six sons, Former Chief Robert
Lloyd Levy (Theresa), Allan Levi (Sheila), Alvin Levi, Cory Levi all
of Elsipogtog, Noland “Nonie” Levi (Cheyenne) of Eskasoni,
NS, Jonathan Joseph (Nathalie) of Elsipogtog; thirty-seven
grandchildren, forty-eight great grandchildren and two great great
grandchildren.
She is also survived by two sisters, Lucy Milliea (Late Joe
Henry) and M.J. Peters both of Elsipogtog.
Besides her mother, she was predeceased by two daughters,
Frances Lynn Levi, infant Kateri Levi; one son, Henry Levi Jr; three
granddaughters, Vanessa, Kendra, Mathilda; one grandson, Jordie; three
sisters, Mary Bella, Barbara, Marjorie and three brothers, Andrew,
Lawrence, Bouncer, Frank and foster brother, Peil .
Visitation will be held at 68 Army Street, Elsipogtog
beginning on Monday at 2:00 pm until time of the service. A
Celebration of Elizabeth’s life will be held on Wednesday,
December 13, 2023 at 10:30 am at St. Anne’s Roman Catholic
Church in Elsipogtog.
