Donald Walter Hood
1929-2024
Donald W. Hood, formerly of Magaguadavic, NB, passed away on April 14,
2024 at Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital. He was born on December 10,
1929 at Magaguadavic, NB, son of the late Walter and Elizabeth
(Grieve) Hood.
Donald was a farmer and woodsworker. He enjoyed gardening and country
gospel music. He was a member of All Saints Anglican Church.
He is survived by his wife, Lorraine (Balina) Hood; four children
Carol Lavoie (Ronald), John Roberts (Lori), Keith Roberts (Tonya) and
Debby Roberts (Lee); eleven grandchildren Stephanie Hanson, Mike
Hanson (Rochelle), Christopher Roberts (Amanda), Matthew Roberts
(Maria), Miles Marshall (Jennifer), Megan Jensen (Christopher),
Valerie Saini (Parneet), Brendan Roberts (Melveena), Trish Vergo
(Cody), Brett Vergo (Heidi) and Heather McAllister (Sean); thirteen
great grandchildren Taylor, Brady, Declan, Ella, Ada, Midori, Alida,
Katylen, Brittney, Peyton, Aden, Jayden and Autumn; five great great
grandchildren Emberly, Kayce, Marcus, Thomas and Ethan; sisters-in-law
Jackie Chomniak (Ollie), Maryann Ritchie (Bob), Linda Williamson
(Stanley) and Diane Williamson (Pineo); several nieces and
nephews.
Donald was predeceased by his parents; and his siblings, Grace
Duplissea (Carey), Lorna McCutcheon (Clair), Frances Howell (Herbert)
and Thelma Brown (Orland).
A funeral will be held at All Saints Anglican Church, 29 Church Road,
Magaguadavic, NB on Monday, April 22, 2024 at 2 pm with Father David
Mercer officiating. Interment at Pine Grove Cemetery in
Magaguadavic.

Foundation.
