Carolyn Mabel Estey
1942-2023
Carolyn M. Estey of Zealand, NB passed away on October 1, 2023 at
Saint John Regional Hospital. She was born on July 22, 1942 at
Zealand, NB, a daughter of the late Wentworth and Leonore
Morehouse.
Carolyn enjoyed cooking meals, making homemade bread and desserts.
She liked playing games on her IPad, especially Cookie Jam. Quilting
was another passion, making quilts for her children and grandchildren.
Carolyn is survived by her children, Kelly Palmer (Carter) and Derrick
Estey; eight grandchildren, Cody (Liz), Nicholas (Chelsea), Chelsey
(Ralph), Katelyn (Alek), Alex, Marissa (Will), Venessa (Brian) and
Greg (Brianna); six great grandchildren Bailey, Waylon, Vince,
Lincoln, Lily and Bruce; two brothers, Perry Morehouse (Debbie) and
Angus Morehouse; three sisters, Rose Brewer, Marlene Brewer and Betty
Brewer (Otis); a son-in-law Brian Stairs; several nieces, nephews and
cousins.
She was predeceased by her parents; her husband Wendell Estey; a
daughter Virginia Stairs; two brothers-in-law Myles Brewer and Luke
Brewer and her canine companion, Sophie, her dog.
Visiting hours will be held at Stone Ridge Pentecostal Church, 129
Upper Stone Ridge Road, Zealand, NB on Thursday evening from 6 to 8
pm. Funeral service will be held at the church on Friday, October 6,
2023 at 2 pm with Rev. Hubert Perkins officiating. Interment at
Zealand Community Cemetery.

has suggested the Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of the
donor’s choice.
