Theresa Hewitt Obituary
Theresa Louise Hewitt, March 27th 1949, age 75 years. Residing in Moncton, formerly of Saint John, passed away at the Moncton Hospital on Monday, October 7, 2024. She was the eldest child of the late Ward and Mary Duke.
Theresa started her working career at the Simms Brush Factory and worked in clerical positions including the construction of Point Lepreau and many years at the Grand Bay Home Hardware.
She loved traveling the back roads of our province with a fishing rod or hunting for the elusive buck be it moose or deer. Cooking, crocheting or knitting.
She is survived by her siblings, Ward Duke Jr (Beverly), Earle Duke (Sherry), Elaine Soucey (Pierre), James Gilbert, (Debbie), Susan Patricia (Gary), Mary Robichaud (Daniel), Jeannie May, Sally Rose, Donald William, as well as many nieces and nephews and extended family members, and by many friends. She always tried to make light of life’s problems and make people smile. She will be dearly missed.
In keeping with her wishes there will be no visitation hours or funeral service. Donations may be made in her name to either the Saint John SPCA Animal Rescue, or the Moncton PAW – People for Animal Wellbeing.
The family would like to extend a large “Thank You” to The Moncton Hospital and staff for their support and care.
