Shaune E. Coughlin Obituary
Shaune E. Coughlin, 61, of Moncton, passed away peacefully at Albert House Hospice on Saturday, December 23, 2023. Born in Sackville, and raised in Dorchester, she was the daughter of the late Howard and Pauline (Eldridge) Sparks.
Shaune was a teacher for many years within the Moncton area, and then went on to be a literacy mentor for the local school district before retirement. She enjoyed scrapbooking, knitting, photography, travelling, reading, cooking, and time spent at the cottage. But her greatest joy was her family and the time she spent with them, especially her grandchildren.
She will be sadly missed by her husband, Danny Coughlin; daughters, Jillian Coughlin (Lindsay) and Jessica Coughlin (Charles); grandchildren, Chloe, Harper and Olivia; sisters, Deanna Bembridge (Donald), Noreen Goodwin, Sandra Hirano (David), Barbara Kay and Vivian LeBlanc (Louis); as well as several nieces, nephews and extended family members.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Victor Sparks.
The family would like to give a special thank you to Dr. Harb, Dr. Azim, and the entire Oncology Clinic and Oncology Wing at The Moncton Hospital, as well as Dr. Mansfield and the staff of Palliative Care at The Moncton Hospital, Extra Mural (especially Holly and Debbie); and to the caring staff of Albert House, for the wonderful and loving care given to Shaune.
A Service to Celebrate and Honour Shaune’s life will be held on Saturday, February 3, 2024 at 11:00 am in the Fergusons Funeral Home Chapel, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (506-858-1995). Reception will follow in the Funeral Home Reception Centre.
