Robert Jackson Obituary
Robert R. Jackson, 87, of Peoples Park Tower, Moncton (formerly of Halifax NS), passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 19, 2023 at The Moncton Hospital. Born in Truro NS, he was the son of the late Archibald and Dorothy (Rowlands) Jackson.
Bob worked for many years for Zurich Insurance and following his early retirement, enjoyed spending summers at the cottage in Tatamagouche and annual springtime trips to Florida.
Robert is survived by his daughters Janice Thompson (Barry) and Karen Cormier (David); grandchildren Jeffrey Thompson (Amanda), Lindsay Cormier and Joshua Cormier; great grandchildren Emma and Miles Thompson.
In addition to his parents Robert was predeceased by his wife Barbara (Simmons) and brother David Jackson.
In honoring Robert’s wishes, there will be no visiting hours or funeral service. A family burial will be held at Lockerby Memorial Cemetery, Tatamagouche NS, in the spring of 2024. Arrangements are entrusted to Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Rd. Moncton, NB 506-858-1995.
