Obituary
Robert J. Scott, 81, of Moncton, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 15, 2023. Born in Hamilton, ON, he was the son of the late Walter and Irene (nee Watson) Scott.
Bob retired after 35 proud years of service with the Canadian Armed Forces. In his earlier years he enjoyed woodworking and was a jack of all trades. Bob always enjoyed tinkering on the computer. In his retirement, Bob enjoyed geocaching and biking; putting on many miles as he explored Moncton or PEI. He enjoyed photography and in recent year spent many hours with his camera club and friends exploring new areas and developing his skills. Most recently he looked forward to games night and dinners with his friends and neighbours. But most important to Bob, was time spent with his daughters, his grandson and great grandchildren.
He will be sadly missed by his daughters, Andrea (Randy) and Jo-Ann (Todd); grandson, Jesse (Bri); great grandchildren, Jakson, Alayah and Bryson; sisters, Marilyn and Shirley; as well as many extended family members and friends. Friends and family will all miss his kindness, compassion and that witty sense of humour.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Rutheen; sisters, Audrey and Barbara; and brother, Bill.
A Service to Celebrate Bob’s life will be held from Fergusons Funeral Home Chapel, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (506-858-1995) on Friday, November 24, 2023 at 1:30 pm. Reception will follow in the Funeral Home Reception Centre.
