Paul Gerald Melanson Obituary
It is with great sadness and much love that we say goodbye to our beloved father, Paul Gerald Melanson, who passed away on December 7th, 2024, at the age of 75.
Dad’s memory will be well cherished by all his children, Gerald, Wayne (Stacy), Paul, Krista (David), Annika, and James (Brooke), and step sons Peter and Justin.
He will be lovingly remembered by several grandchildren and a great – grand daughter. They all brought him much joy and he loved them dearly.
Survived and loved by his brothers, James (Dora), Danny (Doreen). Sisters, Marianne (Raymond), Lynda, Lea, and Jeanette.
Predeceased by his Mother Anna Lirette (Melanson), Father Paul Melanson, & infant baby brother Paul.
Dad lived in the Moncton, New Brunswick area all of his life. He had many friends and relatives (cousins, nieces, nephews ) that he cared about and liked spending quality time with.
He loved being outside with nature. He enjoyed fishing, tying flies, hunting, gardening, and going to the camp with his son and grandson. His dream was to live on a piece of land out in the woods with chickens. He enjoyed building things, collecting coins, drawing, and playing guitar.
Dad was always helping others, especially his family and children. He would get excited when telling long stories about his past in great detail. He was a strong believer in God and would share that with everyone he knew. Dads’ favorite verse from the Bible that he would often recite is John 3:16.
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
We will always carry his memory in our hearts, and remember the love and strength he brought to his family and friends.
A time to gather and share memories of Paul’s life will be held at Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (506-858-1995) on Sunday, December 15, 2024 from 1:00 to 3:00 pm.
