Mary Margaret Jeffrey Obituary
Mary Margaret Jeffrey, 76 of Moncton passed away peacefully at K.E. Spencer Memorial Home on Sunday, July 21, 2024. Born in Moncton, she was the daughter of the late William and Jessie (Leaman) Jeffrey.
Mary completed her training as an RN in 1972 at the SA Grace General Hospital in NFLD. She became a pastor with the Salvation Army and was stationed to several provinces across Canada. Later she worked for the Federal Government as a pension adjuster. She was a faithful member of the Salvation Army until her illness.
Survived by her loving sisters, Judy Dixon (late Robert) of Moncton and Pat Hayward (Eldon) of Sus; brother, Bill Jeffrey (Debbie) of Wasaga Beach, ON; niece and nephews, Jennifer McGarity (Mike), Joe (Viviane), Peter (Jolyne), Billy (Meredith), Michael (Kelly), Andrew and Trevor (Michelle); great nephew, Samuel and many extended family members.
The family would like to acknowledge and express our appreciation for the compassionate care Mary received from the staff at the nursing home.
In honor of Mary’s wishes, a private family graveside service will be held at Fair Haven Cemetery. Mary’s arrangements have been entrusted into the professional care of Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (506-858-1995).
