Mary “Janet” Orman Obituary
Mary Janet (Jeanette) Orman (nee MacEachern) passed away peacefully June 6, 2024, at Villa Du Repos in Moncton. She was surrounded by her girls and with the love of her family members who are away.
Born in Judique in 1930 to Malcolm and Mary Cecelia MacEachern, Jeanette was the last surviving member of her immediate family, having been predeceased by brother Hugh and sisters Anne, Phee, Marie and Bessie. She was predeceased by her husband of 72 years Frank, as well as by son David and granddaughter, Samantha, both in infancy.
She is survived by her children Jim (Susan) of Sherwood Park, Alberta; Bryan of Moncton, New Brunswick; Michael of Edmonton, Alberta; Suzanne (David) of Moncton, New Brunswick; Sharon (Kenneth) of Moncton, New Brunswick; Shelley (Mike) of Halifax, Nova Scotia; and seven grandchildren – Ian, Olivia, Amber, Christian, Colin, Jacqueline and Nicholas, as well as great-grandchildren Haley, Brenden, Aiden, Julie, Ben and Lillian. Jeanette is also survived by many nieces and nephews and their families.
The family extends a heartfelt thank you to the staff of Villa Du Repos for the care provided our mother in her final years. In lieu of flowers, donations to the IWK Children’s Hospital would be appreciated.
Visitation will be on Monday, from 4:00 to 6:00 pm from Ferguson’s Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton. Funeral Mass will be celebrated from St. Augustine’s Church, (340 Dominion St.), Moncton on Tuesday, June, 11 at 4:00 PM. Interment to follow at a later date in her beloved home of Judique, Cape Breton.
