Lloyd Aaron Phillips Obituary
Lloyd A. Phillips, 75 of Moncton, surrounded by the love of his family, passed away peacefully within the comforts of his home on July 11, 2024. Born in Minto, NB, he was the son of the late Howard and Margaret (Priest) Phillips.
Lloyd was retired from Geldart’s Moving & Storage with over 30 years service. In his retirement he loved landscaping and taking care of his friend’s properties, he also took great pride in tending to his own property, maintaining his flower beds and constantly battling with the dreaded dandelions. He enjoyed playing pool in his younger years, fishing, playing crib, but first and foremost he cherished spending time with his grandchildren.
Lloyd will be sadly and deeply missed by his loving wife, Janice (Bryant) Phillips of Moncton; his daughters, Amanda Guitard (Shawn) of Salisbury, Patricia Augustine of Moncton, Angela Mason of Caledonia Mountain and Shauna Phillips of Moncton; his cherished grandchildren, Faith, Haven, Ashley, Alysha, Zachary, Derek; several great grandchildren; sisters, Darlene Corbin and Lois Carson; brother, Rev. Douglas Phillips (Leslie); brothers in law, Tom Bryant (Lois), Fred Bryant, Ernie Bryant (Lenora) and Neil Bryant (Carol-Ann); sister in law, Susan Drover (Gerry); several nieces and nephews especially, Becky Phillips, Erin Whitman and Sarah Pond; special neighbours, Tracy, Brittnay “Jane”, Reegan, Adam (Olyvia) and Ella. Lloyd’s special girls Amanda Arsenault, Trisha Delahunt, Sasha Richard, Nanette Robichaud. Also survived by his two close buddies Larry Daigle and Ken MagLaggen.
In addition to his parents, Lloyd was predeceased by his brother, David Phillips; sister, Nancy Barton (Ralph); brothers in law, Paul Carson, Sereno Corbin and Jim Spencer; nephews, Ricky and Danny; niece, Karen.
Lloyd’s family would like to thank Extra-Mural for the love and care given to Lloyd during his illness.
A Service to Celebrate and Honour Lloyd’s Life will be held from Fergusons Funeral Home Chapel, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (506-858-1995) on Monday, July 15th at 2:00 pm with his brother Rev. Douglas Phillips leading the service. Reception to follow in the Funeral Home Reception Centre.
