John Joseph Baptiste Bastarache
John Bastarache, 78 of Moncton, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 11, 2024 at The Moncton Hospital. Born in Moncton, he was the son of the late Alezander and Olive (Petitpas) Bastarache.
John was the proud founder of Jean’s restaurant, from 1977 to his retirement in 2020.
He will be sadly missed by his wife of 27 years, Pauline Williams; children, Sheila Furlong (Travis), Joey Bastarache (Sarah); step children Rachael Williams (Robert), Kelly Pulka-Bailey (Brian) and Tracey Gallant; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; siblings Gerald (Betty), Edmond (Diane), Jeaninne (Del), and Alcide (Barb).
Aside from his parents, he was predeceased by a son Alan, brothers Edgar, William “Blackie” and Francis and a sister Rosita.
Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday from 2:00 to 4:00 PM. Funeral Service will be celebrated on Wednesday, March 13, 2024 at 2:00 PM from Fergusons Funeral Home Chapel, 1657 Mountain Rd. Moncton NB (506-858-1995). Interment, Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery.
