March 20th, 1958 ~ March 19th, 2024
Heaven has gained another angel as we announce the passing of Susan Dietrich, after a courageous battle with cancer, on March 19th, 2024, of Petit Cap, NB.
Born in Kitchner ON, she was the daughter of the late Norman and the late Marion Willis.
Susan will be sadly missed by her son, Michael Mleinek of Edmonton, AB; and daughter, Michelle Russell (Jason) of Bridgewater, NS; her grandchildren: Traci, Jack, Haley, Ben, and Ezra.
Susan wanted to dedicate a special thank you to her sister and family, Faith, and Irois Leger of Petit Cap; her nephew, Denis Leger (Stephanie); her niece, Nathalie Leger; as well as her special friend, Elsie Conway for their love and support.
She is also survived by her biological mother, Madge Cormier; her brother, Terry (Ginny) and family; her sister-in-law, Sally Willis, and her son, Kyle; and extended family.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her loving husband and soulmate, Howard Dietrich, as well as her brother, Carl Willis.
Susans passions were spending time with her husband planting butterfly gardens and prairie grass at their farm for the wildlife program. Susan had many hobbies which she enjoyed, such as fishing, hunting, crocheting, and driving her tractor. She worked at Hudson Bay for many years until dedicating her time being a caregiver for special needs adults where her passion blossomed and made her the special caring person we will remember always smiling. Susan joined GMS family in Moncton and made many friends who helped her through her difficult days, making her smile shine.
A special thanks to the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital’s oncology unit for their exceptional care. Dr. Robyn Comeau, Dr. Joel Grey, Dr. Jacques Maillet, Dr. Savoy, the nurses, and receptionist staff). The Extra Mural staff, palliative care, and the Guardian Pharmacy in Cap-Pelé.
