It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Pierre Martin, 81, on Wednesday, March 27th, 2024, at the Villa Providence in Shediac.
Born on January 4th, 1943, in Saint-Louis-de-Kent, NB., he was the son of the late Marcel and the late Marie Martin (Babineau). Pierre worked in masonry in the United-States until his retirement settling in Memramcook, NB. He very much enjoyed fishing and hunting.
Pierre will be sadly missed by his daughter, Charline Martin of Waltham, MA; his four sisters: Marguerite (Roger) LeBlanc of Bathurst, Rose-Marie (late Ovila) Daigle of Moncton, Elodie Diotte (Gille Chabot) of Moncton, and Diane (Paul) Roy of Shediac; his two brothers: Gerard (Claira) Johnson of Saint-Louis-de-Kent and Gilles (Maria) Johnson of Westminster, MA; three half-sisters: Germaine Daigle, Caroline Daigle, and Yvonne Daigle all of Moncton; two half-brothers: Jacques Daigle of Saint-Jean and Gérald Daigle of Moncton; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Albert Martin (Lina Bastarache) of Saint-Louis-de-Kent; two half-sisters: Dorina (late Edé) Thébeau and Jeanne (late Dolore) Bordage; as well as two half-brothers: Joseph Daigle and Alcime Daigle.
The family would like to thank the staff at the Villa Providence in Shediac for their great care.
Visitations will be held at Passage Funeral Co-operative (3754 Route 134, Shediac Bridge) on Saturday, May 4th, 2024, from 1:00pm until 2:30pm. A small service will be held in the chapel at 2:30pm. The burial will take place in Saint-Louis-de-Kent directly after the service.
Donations in memory of Pierre can be made to the Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation.
