It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Norman «Poutch» Hebert at the age of 84, formerly of Cocagne, on Friday September 13 at the Georges-L.-Dumont Hospital with his loving family by his side. Born in Cocagne, he was the son of the late Emile (1987) and Fabiola (Despres) (1992).
Norman was an active member of The Knights of Colombus, Nicholas Denys Council. He was also a volunteer firefighter with the Cocagne Brigade for 20 years. He loved to talk to anyone that crossed his path with is great sense of humor and kidness.
Norman will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 53 years, Dorilla (Boudreau), his daughter Rachelle Comeau (Christien) of Moncton, his 2 sons Guy of Cocagne and Maurice (Alice) of Haute-Aboujagane. Also to his 5 grandchildren to whom was his pride and joy and ray of sunshine, Dannielle Comeau of Moncton, Justin Comeau (Julie) of Cap-Pelé, Audrée, Jacob et Etienne, all from Haute-Aboujagane and two great-grand-children, Olivia and Connor of Cap-Pelé. We cannot forget the four-legged family, Chance, Johnny, T-Jah, Lily and Bella, the 5 dogs that he adored and liked to play with.
He also leaves to mourn his 3 sisters, Doris (Jean-Marie) Landry of Pont-Landry, Florine Hebert of St-Antoine and Louise (Dan) Hebert-Rooney of Toronto, and one 1 brother Paul (Lana) Hebert of Moncton as well as many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Norman was predeceased by his 2 sisters Jeannine Roy (1992) and Aulida Lavoie (2023).
Visitations will be at the Passage Funeral Cooperative, 3754 route 134, Shediac Bridge, NB, on Thursday September 19th, from 7 to 9 pm and on Friday September 20th, from 2 to 3 pm. A mass will be celebrated in his honor on Friday, September 20th, at the St-Pierre de Cocagne Church at 4pm.
In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to the Vestiaire St-Joseph in Shediac, would be greatly appreciated by the family.
