It is with shattered hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Nancy JoAnn Gordon, 82, on Sunday, April 14th, 2024, at The Moncton Hospital after a brave fight with AML Leukemia.
Born in Saint John, NB, she was the daughter of the late Adolphus and Levisa Kelly (Fleming) of Saint John, NB.
JoAnn will be sadly missed by her two sons: Micheal Gordon of British Columbia and Moss (Danielle) Gordon of Moncton; her grandchildren: Colton, Amanda, Curtis, and Matthew and; her great grandchildren: Madison and Charlee; three brothers: Charles Kelly (Joan) of Fredericton, NB, and Howard Kelly (Ella) of Saint John, NB, and Kenny Kelly (Gail) of St. Stephen, NB; two sisters: Sharon Thompson (Vincent) of Saint John, NB, and Connie Mitchell (late Sam) of Kingston Peninsula, NB; as well as many nieces and nephews, and cousins.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Thomas Gordon; and her siblings: Douglas, Colleen, Rose, Claire, Paul, and Frances.
JoAnn never shone more, than as a mother and grandmother. Her love and commitment to her family was truly unmatched. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with those she loved. She excelled as a realtor for Remax for many years, taking a special, very personal pride in finding the perfect home for every buyer.
She truly was invested in those around her. Despite spending many years in British Columbia with her family, New Brunswick had always been JoAnn’s home and she always kept that special Maritimers’ kindness In her heart. Her incredible spirit and grace was a gift to anyone in her presence.
Countless trips, adventures, gatherings, memories. There will never be another light that shines quite as brightly. What a gift it was for us, to share a home with you for the last 4 months. Our hearts will look for you forever Mom.
In respect to the family wishes, there will be no visitation and no funeral service held at this time. The family will plan something for warmer weather.
Donations in memory of JoAnn can be made to Moncton Hospital Oncology Department.
