Gerard Belliveau, 96, of Foyer Pauline, Bouctouche and formerly of Bouctouche, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family at the UHC Dr Georges-L. Dumont, Moncton on Monday September 16, 2024. He was married to the late Alice (Bourgeois) Belliveau (2015). Born in Bouctouche, he was the son of the late Tim and the late Marie (Melanson) Belliveau.
Gerard worked as a sales clerk at the old Irving Department store in Bouctouche for most of his working life.
He will be sadly missed by his five children; Denise Gagnon (Yvon) of Bouctouche, Gisèle Belliveau (John Dubé) of Moncton, Lise Goguen (Denis) of Cocagne, Jean (Anise) and Jacques (Debbie) of Bouctouche, his eleven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. He also leaves to mourn two sisters; Leola Robichaud of Moncton and Janet Nowlan (Ron) of Calgary and several nephews and nieces.
He was predeceased by four sisters; Alvina, Odila, Lina, Régina and two brothers; Honoré and Albert.
Visitations will be held at Maillet Funeral Home, 29 rue de l’église, Bouctouche on Thursday September 19, 2024 from 9:00 am to 10:45 am. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at the Saint-Jean Baptiste Roman Catholic Church, Bouctouche on Thursday September 19, 2024 at 11:00 am with interment in the parish cemetery.
In Gerard’s memory, donations may be made to the Foyer Pauline, Bouctouche.
