Moncton, NB – It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Alma Emily Barrieau, 88, that occurred on December 22nd, 2023, at the Shannex Ocean Hall in Moncton.
Born in Chatham Head, NB, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Barrieau and the late Julie (Cormier) Barrieau.
She is survived by her son, David Barrieau of Oshawa; her grandchildren: Rian, and Michaela; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Beside her parents, she was predeceased by her siblings: Arthur, Albert, Joseph, Edmond, Olivier, Francois, Alice, Bertha, and Rose.
Alma Barrieau worked at Crane Supply for many years and was involved with the CWL Catholic Women’s League at the Saint Bernards Parish. Special thanks to Therese Dowd and Carolyn Melanson for supporting Alma over the past couple of years.
Visitation will be held at the Passage Funeral Cooperative (625 Mountain Road, Moncton, NB, E1C 2PI, 506-855-1145) on Saturday, February 10th from 12 noon to 2 pm.
