Shediac, NB – It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Adrien Hébert, at 92 years of age, that occurred on December 25th, 2023, at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre in Moncton.
Born in Grande-Digue, he was the son of the late Evariste Hébert and the late Mélina (Léger) Hébert.
Adrien worked as an electrician for his own compagnie, Adrien’s Electric until his retirement. He was an avid guitar player, singer, and fisherman. At the age of 80 years old, he recorded with his wife a CD that will remain a great souvenir for his family and friends. An avid joke teller, he would never miss an opportunity to make someone laugh. The most important thing for Adrien was his family. He was truly a great husband, father, grand father, great grandfather, and a great friend.
He will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 70 years together, Dora Hébert of Shediac; his son, Roger Hébert (Odette Murphy) of Grande-Digue; his two daughters: Diane Bourque (Claude) of Grande-Digue, and Denise Maillet (Louis Brun) of Cocagne; his seven grandchildren: Remi (Angèle), Rachelle (Marcel), Richard (Julie), Gabriel (Mélanie), Jacques, Monica (Ryan), and Tania; his five great grandchildren: Julie, Julien, Eric, Fréderic, and Samuel; his sister, Annette (late Alcide) of Moncton; as well as several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his brothers and sisters: Odule, Pierre, Wilfred, Yvon, Laurie, Anida, Viola, Germaine, Bernadette, Rita, Eva-May, and Doris.
Visitation will be held from the Passage Funeral Cooperative (3754 Route 134, Shediac Bridge, NB, 506-532-1050) on Tuesday, January 2nd, 2024, from 7 to 9 pm, and on Wednesday January 3rd, from 9:30 to 10:30 am. Funeral mass will be held from La Visitation Roman Catholic Church in Grande-Digue, on Wednesday, January 3rd, at 11 am.
Special thanks to the staff and the doctors of the CHU Dumont Hospital, for the great care and compassion given to Adrien during his stay.
In memory of Adrien, donation can be made to the Alzheimer’s society or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
