GEORGE JOHN ALBERT
George Albert, 83 of Riverview NB passed away peacefully on October 17 2023. Born in Ottawa in 1940, he was the son of Conrad and Alice (Charlebois) Albert.
Père is survived by his children Daniel Albert (April), John Albert (Laura) and Denise Hebert (Remi); grandchildren Sara, Nigel, Brittany, Selina and Erika; and his great-grandsons Aiden and Lincoln; nephews James and Kevin; nieces Sheila, Susan, Cheryl and Farrah; predeceased by niece Brenda.
George was predeceased by his wife Isabell (Keays) Albert; brothers Jack and Peter and sister Diane. He is survived by his brother Richard and sister Linda.
George enjoyed fishing and the great outdoors of New Brunswick. He was avid fan of Ottawa’s football and hockey teams. George was an admirer of classic cars and was a helpful source of knowledge over the years in all things mechanical. George had several careers; as a welder and driving instructor but retired as a city bus driver for OC Transpo in Ottawa.
As per George’s wishes a funeral service will not be held. An informal gathering of friends and family will take place in the near future. Please contact family members for details.
The family would like to thank the nurses and doctors of the Georges L Dumont Hospital in Moncton for their compassion and care of our father. We greatly appreciate their efforts towards not only our Dad but also our family.
