Dora Harris, 75, of Dieppe, passed away on Sunday February
11, 2024 at The Moncton Hospital. Born in Miramichi, she was the
daughter of the late Amedie and Catherine (Benoit)
Hachey.
She is survived by one daughter, Karen Poirier (Claude) of
Moncton; two sons: Richard “Ricky” (Glenda) and Ronald
“Ronnie” (Donna), both of Miramichi; her son
Jamie’s fiancée, Melissa Lovell of Moncton; a
daughter at heart, Monica Hebert of Miramichi; nine grandchildren and
two great-grandchildren; four brothers: Stephen (Loretta), Leon
(Lori), Larry (Merina), and Ernest; two sisters-in-law: Edrie and
Mona; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her youngest son,
Jamie; two sisters: Leah and Irene; six brothers: Allan, Charles,
David, Francis, Leo, and Kenneth.
Dora’s family wishes to express their sincere
gratitude to the staff of Beaux Souvenirs Special Care Home in Dieppe
for their amazing wonderful care provided. You gave Dora a place to
call home where she loved and was loved. Thank you also to the
doctors, nurses and support staff of Unit 5100 at The Moncton Hospital
– the care you gave to our mother was greatly
appreciated.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and
Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (506-858-1900) where the
funeral service will be celebrated on Sunday, February 18, at 11 am.
Visiting hours are Sunday from 9:30 am until time of funeral.
Interment will be at Elmwood cemetery in Moncton. In memory of Dora, a
contribution to Jamie’s children, Brooklyn and Colton Harris
Trust Fund would be appreciated.
