Daniel Lush Obituary
Daniel Lush, 21 of Moncton, passed away in his sleep on November 9, 2024 in Fredericton where he was attending the University of New Brunswick. Born in Burlington ON, he was the son of Greg and Laura (Pike) Lush.
Daniel was an active student at UNB and worked as a Peer Support Worker, playing a key role in the launch of the program in 2022. This, along with his involvement in other faculty events, demonstrated a genuine commitment to helping his fellow students. He is remembered by his faculty and students as being an extremely kind, compassionate and thoughtful.
Daniel grew up being active in his home church, Glad Tidings Moncton, where he is fondly remembered by those who knew him. He was part of the King’s Castle discipleship and ministry program and attended the Youth group. One of his favourite memories was a missions trip to Cuba in 2018. He was often quiet but dedicated and had a heart for helping others.
Daniel is survived by his Parents Greg and Laura, sister Katelyn; aunt Tracy Runk (Sean); cousin Ryker Runk; paternal grandparents Charles and Judy Lush, maternal grandfather Les Pike (Helena) and his step-grandfather Calvin Brenton.
Daniel was predeceased by his maternal grandmother Greta Best.
Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM from Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Rd. Moncton NB (506-858-1995). A Service to Celebrate Daniel’s life will be held on Thursday, November 14, 2024 at 11:00 AM from Glad Tidings Church, 2460 Mountain Rd. Moncton.
Following the Moncton arrangements, he will be in the care of Stacey’s Funeral Home, Gander NL, where time of visitation will be offered.
