Daniel “Dan” Touchie Sr. Obituary
It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden unexpected passing of Dan Touchie, 68, of Moncton. Dan passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side on June 6, 2024, at The Moncton Hospital.
Born April 8, 1956, in Moncton to Theresa (Melanson) and the late Ernest Touchie.
Dan was an owner operator long haul truck driver for most of his life and was known for always having something on the go. His passion for life, his family and his love for the Boston Bruins was clearly undeniable. Dan was a traveller in profession and a giver in life and he loved all his four-legged friends. Especially his travelling companion Sammie.
Dan loved his family. He was a devoted son, brother, husband, father and grampy.
He will be forever missed by his loving wife of 48 years Susan (Reeves) Touchie; his children Daniel W Touchie Jr (Veronique Cormier Touchie); daughter Tara L Touchie (Andrew); grandchildren Cameron, Callie, Claire and Rory and 2 great grandchildren Frankie and Tommie; Sisters Darlene Hickey (John), Donna Kennedy (Craig), Diana Steven’s (Derek); and several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
Dan was Predeceased by his father Ernest Touchie and a brother Dwayne Touchie.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 12, 2024 from 1:00 to 3:00 PM, a service to celebrate Dan’s life will follow at 3:00 PM, at Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Rd. Moncton NB (506-858-1995). Reception to follow.
Memorial donations may be made to, the NB Heart and Stroke Foundation, P.A.W.S Moncton, or a charity of the donor’s choice.
