It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our
beloved mother, Constance “Connie” Willden, 88, of Moncton,
on December 13, 2024 at Pavillon Richard of Faubourg du Mascaret. Born
on February 22, 1936 in Dibgy, NS, she was the daughter of
the late Cyril and Helen (White) Comeau.
Prior to her retirement, Connie was employed with the Royal
Bank of Canada for many years. She was also a longstanding
member of the Catholic Women’s League (CWL) at
Saint Bernard’s Catholic Church.
In her lifetime Connie enjoyed sailing, traveling, RVing,
golf and operating a Bed and Breakfast in Deep Brook, NS, with her
late husband Gordon.
Connie will be deeply missed by her three children: Kevin
Frenette (Johanne) of Moncton, Janice Frenette (Donald Brooks) of
Saint-Norbert, and Nancy Gatien (Greg) of Brandon, MB; four
grandchildren: Maximillian Frenette (Megan Bona), Alexander Frenette
(Nina Marsh) , Nicholas Frenette (Bridget Bogdanof), and Beatrice
Gatien; four great-grandchildren: Grace Frenette, Henry Frenette, Tara
Frenette and Djed Frenette; four step-children: Diana Quartey (Gil),
John Willden (Maxime), Eric Willden (Jayne) and Dorothy Wiebe (Gary);
nine step-grandchildren: Jonathan Fox, Victor Quartey, Chelsea
Quartey, Sarah Doherty, Julie Chandler, Alex Willden, Kiana Wiebe,
Jacob Wiebe, and Matthew Wiebe; six step-great-grandchildren: Oliver,
Holden, Leo, Keaton, Henry, and Beau; one sister, Carol Calnan (Brian)
of Bathurst; one brother, Paul (Diane) of Bathurst. Besides
her parents, Connie was predeceased by her husband Gordon Willden
(2019); two sisters: Agatha and Anne (Maurice); and two brothers:
Cyril (Sharon) and Robert “Bob” (Annette).
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and
Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (506-858-1900) on Sunday
December 22 from 1 to 4 pm only. The funeral mass will be celebrated
at St Bernard’s Roman Catholic Church, 43 Botsford Street,
Moncton on Monday December 23 at 11 am. Interment will be at
Holy Family Cemetery in Bathurst at a later date. In memory of Connie,
a contribution to the Catholic Woman’s League of Canada
would be appreciated.
