Cody James Albert Knowles, 32, of Moncton, NB, formerly of
Miramichi, passed away surrounded by family and friends on November 8,
2024, at Percy’s Place, Miramichi, NB.
Born in Moncton, NB, Cody is the son of Jamie and Nancy
(Richardson) Knowles.
Cody
possessed a huge heart that resonated through every aspect of his
life. He had a passion for hockey, proudly supporting his #1 Team, the
Toronto Maple Leafs, and the Moncton Wildcats. Saturday nights were
particularly special for Cody, as he would watch the hockey game with
his parents and his loyal companion Hunter, while enjoying his dad’s
homemade pizza. He also enjoyed going for drives in the woods, hunting
and snowmobiling, and loved to play cards.
Cody’s generous heart left a lasting impact on all
who knew him. He will be remembered fondly for his kindness and the
joy he brought to his family and friends. His legacy will continue to
inspire those who were fortunate enough to share in his
life.
In addition to his parents, Cody leaves behind his soulmate
Bridgette Jones; grandmother Eileen Richardson; aunts and uncles Cindy
McDonald (Daryl), Tammy Sullivan (Bud), Kathy Richardson (Larry),
Allison McKenzie, and Kelly Hachey (Robbie) all of Miramichi, and
Valerie Richardson (Lincoln) of Enfield, NS; his lifelong friend and
chosen sister Jessica Browne Lynch (Corey) and their children Cali,
Claire, and Jaxston.
Cody is predeceased by his grandmother Linda Knowles; great
grandparents Fred and Janie Knowles; grandfather Raymond Richardson;
aunt Margie Richardson; uncles Harold and Kevin (Uncle Buck) Knowles;
and cousins Joey Richardson and Jason
Henderson.
A heartfelt thank you to Dr. Gerard and Judy Losier, and the
staff at Percy’s Place ♡ – Jill, Tracy, Victoria,
Carly, Stuart, AJ, Patricia, Mae, Alaura, Katie, Jeanie, Shirley, and
volunteers. “Your love and kindness will never be
forgotten”.
A special thank you to the staff at 66 Lewis St. Independant
Living, Miramichi Oncology Staff- Dr. Watts, Dr. Woods, Dr. Haddad,
and nurses, and also to the staff at Dr. Leon Richard Oncology and Dr.
Georges L. Dumont Hospital.
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 11,
2024, at Frenette’s Funeral Centre, 88 Church St,
Moncton, NB, from 1 pm to 3 pm, and on Tuesday,
November 12, 2024, at Northumberland Funeral Home, 102
Pleasant St., Miramichi, NB, from 5 to 8 pm. Mass of
Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, November 13, 2024,
at St Michael’s Basilica, at 1 pm, with Father John Fraser
officiating. Interment will take place at St Michael’s Cemetery at a
later date. As expressions of sympathy, donations
can be made in Cody’s Memory to Percy’s Place ♡
