Clifford Roy, 86, of Moncton, passed away
peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, September 28,
2023 at the Villa du Repos. Born in Moncton, he was the son of the
late Delphis and Madeleine (Gautreau) Roy.
He is
survived by his beloved wife of 59 years, Louise (Bernard); three
daughters: Monique Roy Lam (Jim) and Ginette Roy Melanson (Mario) both
of Moncton, and Gisele Roy Melanson (Marc) of Dieppe; three sisters:
Anita Sirois (Paul-Émile), Lydia Green (Bill), and Rita
Dollement all of Moncton; one brother, Raymond “Pete”
(Mireille) of Moncton; two sisters-in-law: Jeannette Roy of Kitchener,
ON and Delia Roy of Dieppe; six grandchildren: Manon, Dominique, Eric,
Jacob, Nicholas, and Alex, as well as many nieces and
nephews.
He was
predeceased by four brothers: Lionel, George, Junior, and Gerald; as
well as two infant siblings.
The
family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation
Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (506-858-1900) on Monday, October 2
from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm only. The funeral mass will be celebrated
at Notre-Dame-de-Grâce R.C. Church, 854 Mountain Road,
Moncton, on Tuesday, October 3 at 11 am. Interment will be at Our Lady
of Calvary cemetery in Dieppe. In memory of Clifford, a contribution
to the CHU Dumont Foundation (Dialysis) or the Villa du Repos would be
appreciated.
